The Dynamic Swing Machine is a non-profit organization with strong roots in Fort Worth. Beginning as an employee activity of Lockheed-Martin and predecessor organizations, the band has now evolved into a community wide orchestra featuring professional entertainers from across the North Texas region. Having performed at many of the most prestigious events across the Southwest the Dynamic Swing Machine has become a go-to organization for event planners.
The Dynamic Swing Machine is composed of professional musicians who are also members of the local community in the professions of engineering, medical, science, education, communications and service organizations. Each member has performed in numerous bands and orchestras throughout their career. They perform in the Dynamic Swing Machine for many reasons that may include the wide variety of musical styles, arrangements and varied performance venues during the year. Participation in the organization is voluntary.
The big band is composed of various sections. Typically these sections include 6 trumpets, 5 trombones, 5 sax's, 4 rhythm and 4-5 vocalists. So as many as 25 persons may be performing on stage at one time. Other personnel perform audio, librarian, events management, transportation and other key functions.
The Dynamic Swing Machine has the unique ability to customize presentations through weekly rehearsals. Specialty music and additional vocalists are typical of specially prepared presentations.
Performance Music
The general performance library consists of approximately 1,000+ musical arrangements. The band also has access to stock libraries that consist of several thousands of arrangements for big band. This allows for the extreme versatility of the organization.
A huge number of songs are arranged and available for big band. Of course, the group excels at Swing, Pop and Jazz styles. Themed music libraries owned by the group include Christmas and holiday songs,recent popular songs, dance and ballroom favorites, Broadway, cinema 'Vegas' and TV theme favorites, and even a complete German polka music library.

Big Band Hangar Dance October 2025 - Vintage Flying Museum
The Dynamic Swing Machine, has recently entertained for its sixth year at the Vintage Flying Museum 2025 Hangar Dance. Hundreds partake in wonderful catered food, swing dance classes, C-47 airplane rides, and fabulous music such as “Sing, Sing, Sing,” which always packs the dance floor with a frenzy of spectacular dancers performing high lifts and breath-taking moves. The event always attracts dance clubs, local dignitaries, and elected officials from neighboring communities.
